Samford's School of the Arts to Present Faculty Gala Sept. 11
Samford's School of the Arts will present its annual Faculty Gala event Tuesday, Sept. 11, sponsored by Patty McDonald.
A 5-7 p.m. reception for faculty artist Richard Dendy in Samford's Art Gallery will highlight "Being Here: Modern Paintings in Post Modern Times, " an ongoing exhibit of Dendy's oil and gouache paintings.
The musical portion of the Gala will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Brock Recital Hall. This year's selection of faculty performances will include work for instrument and voice ranging from the 18th through 21st centuries, from the sacred to the secular, and from classical to Broadway.
The Faculty Gala is free-of-charge and open to the public.
