Alumni Association Sponsors Aug. 24 Fan Fest
Samford's Alumni Association is partnering with the university's athletics department to present a public preseason Fan Fest for fall sports Aug. 24 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the concourse between Seibert Stadium and Joe Lee Griffin Field.
The Fan Fest will include student athletes, food, music and video from the Seibert Stadium video board, games and fun for the kids and entertainment from the Samford band, cheerleaders and dance team. Fans also will be able to pick up their football season tickets at the event.
“We believe this is a great way for the alumni and fans to get to know our student athletes,” said David Goodwin, Director of Alumni and Parents Programs. “With more than 14,000 alumni within two hours drive of campus, we know we can fill all our stadiums for every game.”
