Women's Track Earns Team All-Academic Honors
The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its 2012 Division-I All-Academic teams Thursday and the Samford Women's Track and Field program was one of 171 teams across the country to be honored. Samford is one of seven Southern Conference schools on the list, as the Bulldogs are joined by women's programs from Appalachian State, the College of Charleston, Elon, Chattanooga, Western Carolina and Wofford. Davidson, Chattanooga and Wofford also earned men's team honors.
A total of 171 women's teams and 85 men's teams earned All-Academic honors. In order to qualify, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 of better.
