Children's Music Camps To Begin In June
Samford's School of the Arts will present its annual children's music camps starting in mid-June.
All Aboard for Preschool Music Camp
Ages 3-6
June 28-July 2
This camp is for three, four, and five-year-old children and six-year-olds who have not attended the first grade.
The fee for the camp is $200 (Children of Samford employees children receive a $15 discount). The fee includes tuition for 9:00-11:30 a.m. M-F, all materials, daily snack, and a t-shirt.
Camp activities will include singing, movement, listening activities, crafts, music history, instruments of the orchestra, learning centers, recreation and guest artists.

Adventures in Music Piano and Voice Camps
Grades 1-12
June 14-18, 2010 and July 19-23, 2010
Adventures in Music is open to students who are interested in continuing their studies in piano and voice. It features two sessions for grades 1-12. Each session meets daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Pianists must have completed a minimum of three months instruction prior to camp and will attend ensemble classes. Vocalists must be at least 11 years old and will attend ensemble and stage technique classes.
Camp tuition of $340 includes four private 30-minute lessons, music literature, ensemble theory, practice, break, lunch, recreation, guest artists, swimming, Orff Instruments, solo recitals for students with polished, memorized solo piece prepared and the annual Adventures in Music Gala Recital, featuring ensemble pieces learned throughout the week.
A $185 (nonrefundable) deposit is due upon registration (follow the link below,) with the remaining $155 due on May 24 for June Adventures in Music and by June 28 for July Adventures in Music. Children of Samford employees receive a $25 discount.
