May 8 Choir Concert, Reception To Honor Retiring Professor Banks
Samford's School of the Arts will host a farewell concert and reception May 8 to honor retiring music professor Timothy Banks.
The free 7:30 p.m. A Cappella Choir Concert in Brock Recital Hall will be followed by a casual reception in Harry’s Coffee House (University Center). Faculty, students, alumni, and friends are invited to join us for light refreshments, musical tributes and amusements!
Banks will retire from Samford at the end of this semester to begin a new career marketing choral festivals and tours.
The 1974 Samford alumnus joined the faculty in 1976 and touched the lives of thousands of students during his career. "For all of four decades it has been difficult to tell the story of Samford music without including Timothy Banks, and for decades to come, his legacy will be felt in this place," said School of the Arts Dean Joseph Hopkins.
Please join us as we celebrate a remarkable career!
