Applications Being Accepted for Fifth-Year Masters Program
There is still time to apply for fall admission to Samford's new Fifth Year Non-Traditional Masters in Secondary Education program (FYNT).
The FYNT program is designed for graduates of an accredited university who already have a B.A. or B.S. degree and desire to become certified to teach at the secondary level of education (grades 6-12). Concentration areas include social science, biology, general science, math, English language arts, history and Spanish.
The program accommodates people working part-time or full-time, and courses are offered in the evening. Prospective students are not required to take prerequisite coursework before applying to the program, but some may have to take and pass a content-specific exam (Praxis) in order to be admitted. The deadline for registering for the Praxis is May 12, with a testing date of June 11. Application materials for the fall term are due by July 15.
For more information, please contact recruitment coordinator Ashley Cacioppo at fynt@samford.edu or 726-2947.
