Samford To Host Japan Benefit Event Saturday
Samford will host a Hope for Japan Benefit Performance this Saturday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Wright Center.
Samford's dance program will present portions of this week’s “Moving Thoughts” dance concert as part of a program that will include a who's-who of Birmingham-area performing arts organizations.
A $20 minimum donation to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund will allow audience members to enjoy performances by:
Alabama Ballet
Members of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and the Alabama Symphony Youth Orchestra
Opera Birmingham
Birmingham Children's Theatre
Magic City Concert Choir
Magic City Choral Society
The Sugar Babies
Samford University Dance Program
Donations will be accepted at the door but attendees are encouraged to make their donations at www.redcross.org and bring their printed receipt for admission to the event.
