A Cappella Choir To Perform Homecoming Concert Friday
Samford's A Cappella Choir will perform its annual Homecoming Concert this Friday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Hodges Chapel.
The Homecoming Concert traditionally concludes the choir's spring tour, which this year took the group to New Orleans. Beginning with a concert and Vigil Mass at St. Louis Cathedral, the choir performed at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the University of New Orleans, Williams Boulevard Baptist Church and John Curtis Christian School as well as First Baptist Church of Picayune, Mississippi.
The Homecoming Concert will include sacred music ranging from the 16th through the 20th centuries, including an arrangement of Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing (Nettleton) by A Cappella Choir conductor Timothy Paul Banks.
The concert is free-of-charge and open to the public.
