A Cappella Choir Plans Home Concert March 28
The Samford University A Cappella Choir will present its annual Home Concert Saturday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Reid Chapel. The event is free-of-charge and open to the public.
The program will include pieces by Stanford, Bach, Villette, Whitacre, Larsen and Mathias, as well as hymn, folksong and spiritual arrangements.
The choir will present many of the same works on its international tour in late May. The trip will include performances at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, France, and St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, Italy.
The "home" performance is the choir's only full concert given on campus during the year.
Dr. Timothy Banks conducts the 52-member choir.
