Odd Couple(s) To Take Stage Feb. 21-27

The Michael J. and Mary Anne Freeman Theatre and Dance series at Samford will present a unique theatrical opportunity Feb. 21-27. Two plays by Neil Simon--The Odd Couple and the female version it inspired--will share Harrison Theatre at alternating dates or times for a total of eight performances.

The Odd Couple by Neil Simon
Take one successful sports writer and his best friend, a group of poker buddies, and a wife who throws her husband out, and the result is one of America’s most treasured works for the stage.
Feb. 21, 23, 25, 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 26, 2:30 p.m.

The Odd Couple (female version) by Neil Simon
Unger and Madison are at it again, but this time as Florence Unger and Olive Madison. Instead of the poker party that begins the original Odd Couple, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers, but the humor remains the same.
Feb. 22, 24, 26, 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 27, 2:30 p.m.
