Acclaimed Pianist Roberto Plano To Perform Feb. 12
Internationally acclaimed pianist Roberto Plano will perform at Samford University's Brock Recital Hall Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Samford's School of the Arts is presenting the concert as the latest event in its Davis Architects Guest Artist Series.
The Italian pianist was First Prize Winner of the 2001 Cleveland International Piano Competition, Finalist at the Twelfth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2005, and Laureate of the 2003 Honens International Piano Competition (Calgary, Canada) and the 2006 Axa Dublin International Piano Competition.
The Plano concert is the culminating event in Samford’s Morris Piano Competition, in which Plano will serve as a juror. The pianist also will lead a masterclass while at Samford.
Concert tickets are $20 (adult,) $15 senior (55+,) and $10 (student/child).
