Grammy Nominee Crotts To Perform Free Recital At Samford Feb. 9
Dr. Cameron “Chip” Crotts, a Grammy Award-nominated artist and Associate Professor of Trumpet at Samford University, will present a Faculty Trumpet Recital Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the university's Brock Recital Hall.
Crotts has been an on-call trumpet artist for the Disney Company and has performed and recorded throughout the US and Europe. He has toured and performed with artists such as Boston Brass, Rhythm and Brass, Ray Charles, The Manhattan Transfer, Natalie Cole and Maynard Ferguson.
In addition to his teaching, Crotts currently performs with many regional groups, including the Alabama Symphony, Huntsville Symphony, Jacksonville Brass Quintet, SuperJazz Big Band and the Night Flight Big Band.
The recital is free-of-charge and open to the public.
