Testing Deadlines Near for Samford's New Fifth-Year Non Traditional Graduate Program
Testing deadlines for admission to Samford University’s new Fifth-Year Non Traditional Secondary Graduate Program (FYNT) are approaching. The deadline for the Alabama Prospective Teacher Testing Program (APTTP) is Feb. 4. Deadline for the APTTP Praxis II content test is Feb. 10.

The new FYNT program is designed for graduates of an accredited university who already have a B.A. or B.S. degree with a certifiable major in a core teaching field and desire to earn a Class A teaching certificate to teach at the secondary level of education (grades 6-12).
Samford is admitting students now for its first class this summer. The program accommodates people working part-time or full-time or those currently teaching with provisional certificates. Courses will be offered in lateafternoon, evening or Saturdays.
