Birmingham Area Alumni Events Planned
The Samford University Alumni Association has partnered with the Samford Athletics Bulldog Club for two alumni events in January.
Each of the events will take place before Samford men's and women's Southern Conference basketball games, with dinner and a "chalk talk" before each game.
David Goodwin, director of alumni programs, said he is excited about having the first alumni events of the year at the basketball games.
"We have a big year planned and want to start things off in Birmingham, home to the majority of Samford Alumni," Goodwin said.
The women's basketball game is Monday, Jan. 14, against Georgia Southern University, and the men's basketball game is Thursday, Jan. 17 against Western Caroline University. Each event begin at 5:30 p.m., with each of the games tipping off at 7 p.m.
