The Beeson Exceptional Scholars Program is designed:
The Beeson Exceptional Scholarship Award is for one year, renewable for a maximum of four years or the attainment of a bachelor's degree, whichever comes first. For renewal, the student must be in good standing and have maintained at least a 3.3 grade point average. Any exception must be approved by the Beeson Scholarship Committee. Normally, the scholarship covers the total cost of tuition, required fees, room, board and books. (Room and board expenses are included only if the student chooses to live on campus.) It is expected that regional nominees will complete and process the Free Application for Federal Student Aid [FAFSA] by the appropriate University deadline. While financial need shall not be a factor in choosing recipients, the Beeson Scholarship Committee may take financial need into account, and may choose, in its sole discretion, to limit the amount of the award. In any event, no student chosen as a Beeson Exceptional Scholar shall receive less than 25 percent of the total full award, as determined by the Beeson Scholarship Committee.
Samford University is an Equal Opportunity Institution and welcomes applications for employment and educational programs from all individuals regardless of race, color, sex, disability, age, or national or ethnic origin.
