University Assessment Committee
Purpose
The purpose of this university-wide the Committee on Assessment is to consult on processes related to programmatic assessment, review assessment reports, act as a resource to faculty, staff and administrators, and collaborate with the Associate Provost in order to advance the quality and effectiveness of student learning at Samford University.
Procedure
This Committee meets at least annually and more frequently if needed upon call by the Associate Provost. Administrators, faculty and/or staff needing assistance would contact the Associate Provost who would convene the committee as necessary. (The Committee does not meet on a monthly basis unless there is business for discussion or unless there is a request for consultation or review of an assessment project.)
Membership
The membership of this committee is appointed by the Provost and consists of faculty and staff with expertise in one or more areas of assessment. Recommendations for membership are obtained from the academic deans. Members are appointed for three-year staggered terms by the Provost. (In the first year, each member will be appointed to a three-year, two-year or one-year term). Membership consists of:
