Faculty Development Opportunities

There are a number of opportunities for faculty development in assessment. The content and dates for assessment seminars and workshops at Samford University for the 2011-2012 academic year are being determined.   

Links/Related Sites

As the Samford University academic program assessment process is implemented, relevant policies, procedures and resources will continue to be developed. Determination of these elements will occur with input by faculty and administrators. The Internet Resources for Higher Education Outcomes Assessment contains valuable links to general assessment resources, assessment handbooks, specific skills or content assessment, institutional assessment websites, accrediting organizations, and faculty/course assessment. Classroom assessment of student learning can also be accomplished through a number of methods.  

Compliance Resources

With regards to compliance issues in Higher Education, an excellent resources can be found at the Campus Legal Information Clearinghouse (CLIC) at The Catholic University of Amerca's Office of General Counsel. The CLIC is a joint effort between the University and the American Council on Education (ACE).
