Manager and Leadership Concentration Added

Manager and Leadership Development was recently added as a new concentration. Designed to increase the interpersonal effectiveness of current and aspiring managers and leaders, this concentration replaces Human Resource Development.  This concentration is available for all students admitted for the fall 2009 semester. Students currently enrolled in the Human Resource Development concentration have the option of completing the requirements for that concentration or changing to Manager and Leadership Development.

New courses MPML 310, Supervision, and MPCO 312, Empowering Managers to Understand IT, will be offered as part of the Manager and Leadership concentration. Both courses will be offered in the fall 2009 semester. A complete listing of the course requirements is at http://www.samford.edu/adultdegree/opt_mgrdev.html.

Shades Valley YMCA Drop and Go Program

Starting in January, the Shades Valley YMCA will extend their "Drop and Go" program to Samford students and faculty that need childcare in the evenings. You do not have to be a Y member to use this new service, but you need to be either registered for a Samford evening class, or teaching in the evenings at Samford University.
