"I came to Samford University expecting challenging course work and dedicated professors, but it wasn't until after a semester here that I realized how much my professors had a genuine desire to help me mature and succeed in my college journey. My professors encouraged me to drop by their offices, and I received one-on-one advice and support. My three honors classes were tight-knit and often held in a roundtable setting, where we could each comment on the issues presented in our class readings. I can't imagine another university at which I would attend a Christmas party at my Communication Arts professor's house, eat Indian food across from the Associate Provost and Dean of Arts and Sciences, and spend an hour on Halloween in a professor's living room chatting with his family and my closest friends. It's this sort of personal attention that fostered my incredible academic experience last semester--and makes Samford University a one-of-a-kind learning environment."
