International Student Checklist
Undergraduate Applicants (Freshmen)
- Completed Undergraduate Application Checklist
- International Application Addendum with supporting documentation if necessary
- TOEFL
- Samford’s test code for the TOEFL is R1302
- Complete your Samford Financial Affidavit of Support
- Supporting documentation is required or it will be considered incomplete
- Foreign credential evaluation (if your high school study was done abroad) from either WES or AACRAO
Undergraduate Applicants (Transfer)
- Completed Undergraduate Application Checklist
- International Application Addendum with supporting documentation if necessary
- Transfer Clearance Form
- This form is to be completed by you and then taken to your international studies office at your institution. It must be submitted to Samford from your current institution. Forms submitted by the student will not be accepted.
- TOEFL
- Samford’s test code for the TOEFL is R1302
- Complete your Samford Financial Affidavit of Support
- Supporting documentation (banking statement) is required or it will be considered incomplete
- Foreign credential evaluation (if your undergraduate study was done abroad) from either WES or AACRAO
Graduate Applicants
- Samford Graduate Application
- Each program has a different application method. Please refer to your program’s specific application.
- International Application Addendum with supporting documentation if necessary
- TOEFL
- Samford’s test code for the TOEFL is R1302
- Complete your Samford Financial Affidavit of Support
- Supporting documentation is required or it will be considered incomplete
- Foreign credential evaluation (if your undergraduate study was done abroad) from either WES or AACRAO
Items Required After Admission
- Completed Health Forms
- Failure to submit completed forms prior to arrival will result in a $150 fine placed on your Samford account and you will not be able to move-in to your on-campus housing. There are absolutely no exceptions to this.
- Any questions pertaining to the health form should be directed to Ms. Candy Hughes in the Student Health Services Office at 205-726-2835 or cwhughes@samford.edu.
- Medical Insurance Forms
- Per University policy, all international students (as well as their dependents coming with them) are required to carry sufficient medical coverage during the entire course of their program. Upon admission to the University you should complete the insurance application and submit to Mrs. Ashley Gassner at 205-726-4341 (fax), jawells@samford.edu or mail to:
