Loan Office of Samford University
Specializing in Perkins, CIOS and Health Profession Loans
The Loan Office of Samford University is in Room 105A located on the first floor of Frank Samford Hall across from the Financial Aid Office and next to the Bursar's Office.
ECSI (Educational Computer Systems,Inc.), a billing service for Federal Perkins, CIOS, NDSL, HPSL, Cohron and institutional loans is under contract with Samford University to perform all the billing and accounting for these loans.
If you have been awarded Federal Perkins, CIOS, Cohron or Health Profession loans through the Samford University Financial Aid Office, you no longer need to come to the Loan Office to complete loan paperwork. Please go to the ECSI website to sign promissory notes.
Loan Repayment
To find documentation regarding your student loans, contact NSLDS (The National Student Loan Data System). This is the U.S. Department of Educaton's central database for all student aid. Their web site is http://www.nslds.ed.gov/. Click on Financial Aid review. You will have to apply for a PIN number if you do not already have one. (The PIN number is the same one used when filing the FAFSA form.)
Another source for loan information is the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243 (available for student loan information Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight Eastern time). Stay on the telephone for operator assistance (do not press options 1, 2 or 3). Ask for help with borrower tracking.
